It's moving how a simple drawing can make someone's world brighten up and I absolutely love to help make it happen!
For my realistic portrait paintings I use the pastel pencils from Stabilo and Faber Castell, powder pastel from Pan Pastel and soft pastel chalks from Rembrandt and Schmincke on my favourite premium pastel paper, the pastelmat from Clairefontaine.

Process of Booking & Completing Your Portrait
Phase 1
First, please complete the commission submission form below. I will respond via email to let you know an estimated completion time depending on my current schedule. If happy, please reply to my email with your reference photo(s) and any other information you would like me to know! Once we have chosen a suitable photo, I will send you an invoice to pay the first 50% of the portrait cost to start the process.
Phase 2
Next, I will send you a mock-up of your reference photo with the selected background ideas, cropped to the exact dimensions of your chosen paper size. When you’re happy with the idea, I will then soon work on your portrait’s composition sketch & update you with a photo via email. After you have approved the composition sketch, I will keep it safely stored away until your time comes in my schedule for me to start the work on your portrait.
Phase 3
As soon as I have completed the drawing, I will send you a photo of the result and ask if any changes are needed. Once the artwork is to your satisfaction, I will send you the second and final invoice to pay the remaining 50% + shipping costs. After the payment is complete, I will safely package up your portrait and send it with full PostNL tracking information.

Important Extra Information
I currently do not offer framing options. Since pastel artworks must be framed with protective glass, shipping them framed is not secure so I recommend that when you receive your painting take it to a professional local frame shop.
Payments are made via bank transfer.
I don’t include detailed illustrated backgrounds in the price but do offer a colour, or a colour gradient of your choice. If you wish to have a background illustrated, I can give you a quote depending on how complex the background is.
For purchases made from outside of the EU, any additional import custom duties & tax fees that may occur depending on your country are your responsibility.
Your portrait will also include a certificate of authenticity & a care and conservation guide.
Shipping is done via PostNL and your portrait will come with tracking info as soon as it’s sent. This is paid along with the remaining 50% portrait cost upon completion.
