Did you know that the Netherlands is not only famous for its tulips, but also for its art? That's why we would like to offer you the unique experience of creating your own unique tulip pastel painting in The Tulip Barn.

Firstly, because you will be able to enjoy real art in the middle of the tulip region, regardless of the weather conditions and the stage of flowering of the fields. You will be able to create your own tulip painting under the guidance of our experienced pastel artist André Rios (https://www.andrerios.art/ ), and you will be able to take this painting home, anywhere in the world. This painting will decorate your home or make a great gift, and this tulip will never wilt. Sounds like fun, doesn't it?

How does it work?

CHOOSE THE BEST OPTION FOR YOU AND BOOK A WORKSHOP

Choose a date and time for the workshop on the calendar and buy a ticket. If you want to pick a custom date and time contact me directly to arrange a private workshop.

On the chosen day, show up at The Tulip Barn at least 10 minutes before the workshop starts. You don't need to bring anything with you except your good mood, as all materials for pastel painting will be provided by our experienced artist.
The workshop itself will last around 2 - 2,5 hours, after which you can enjoy tulips in our garden or relax in our cafe.

After the workshop you will take home the finished painting, packed by us in a compact and sturdy tube packaging so that you can take it home safely.

At home, you can take a photo of your painting and share it with us on social networks with the hashtag #artinthebarn and your country. We will be happy to see how many tulip paintings have traveled around the world after our workshops.

What is included in the workshop fee?

The price includes a visit to our tulip garden (which you can visit after the workshop) as well as the workshop itself. You do not need to bring any materials with you, as our artist will provide you with everything you need to create your unique pastel painting. Moreover, after the workshop, we will pack your painting in a compact and sturdy tube packaging so that you can take it home safely.
Do I need to have special training or skills to take part in the workshop?

No, you just need desire to make some art and a positive attitude. This workshop is designed for people of all levels and our experienced artist Andre will help you choose the right tulip photo to paint (there are different levels of difficulty and different photo references, more than 10 tulips of different complexity, varieties and colors) and will accompany you throughout the process, so you can be sure to go home with a finished painting!
What is the difference between a Group workshop and a Private workshop?

A Group workshop can have up to 10-15 participants and you can only choose the dates and times we offer on the website. In the case of a Private workshop, you can choose any date and time that suits you by pre-arranging it with our artist. A private workshop implies more privacy and personal approach, as it will be held only for you.
Is the workshop held indoors or outdoors?

Given that the weather in the spring in the Netherlands is still unstable, we hold our workshops indoors only to ensure your comfort.
In which language is the workshop organized?

Group workshops are conducted in English. Private workshops can be conducted in either English or Portuguese.
Can children participate in the workshop?

Yes, but only if they are over 12 years old and understand Basic English.
Do I need to book a workshop in advance?

Definitely. If you would like to sign up for a private workshop, the only option is to book in advance. If you want to attend a group workshop, it is also better to make a booking in advance to guarantee your place. If you are already visiting The Tulip Barn on a Wednesday, then ask the staff - there may be spaces available for the group drawing workshop that day and perhaps you can join at the last minute.
I have paid for the workshop but want to cancel it. Is this possible?

You can cancel your booking at least 48 hours before the day of the workshop and after that you'll get a full refund. You can do this by emailing us at X. If you cancel your participation less than 48 hours before the event, unfortunately we will not be able to make a refund.
I bought a ticket to a group workshop. Is it possible that the workshop will be cancelled?

Yes, if we do not reach the minimum required number of participants, we will have to cancel the group workshop. In this case, we will contact you 24 hours before the workshop to inform you of the cancellation and make a full refund.
